What is a "Gashapon?"
They are small, detailed mini-toys that are packed inside a small plastic container. You can find these in small coin machines, most like the $00.25 toy vending machines you see in local American stores. But what does the name "Gashapon" come from? The word "Gashapon" was taken from the sound the coin machine makes when you turn the knob to recieve your prize. (gasha-gasha)
Yes, they have cute little toys of the FMA cast in airtight plastic containers. If you find them online for sale they're most likey to be VERY expensive. Why? These figures are like collector's items. Not just for FMA fans but for those who collect junk toys. Like people who collect McDonald's Happy Meal toys or collect Beanie Babies. I've only seen these FMA figures on sale at one place and they charge $25 for them! But don't you wish they had these in American where you only have to put in 2 quaters?
